  Admission Procedure  

Admission

Admission to the courses being run by DIMT is made through entrance test. Merits list is prepared for the  interview on the basis of entrance test. Candidates are informed by post about the date and time of the interview, which is held at the Institute campus. The result of the interview, will be communicated to the candidate on the same day.

Registration form can be obtained from the institute /City office on payment of cash Rs.500/-. You can also download the form from our website, & send a Demand Draft of Rs.550/- in favour of "DOON INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY" Payable at Dehradun. The downloaded form along with DD should be sent by registered post to City office:-3/2 East Canal Road Dehradun, Uttarakhand 248001.


How to apply

Candidates aspiring for admission need to register themselves with the Doon Institute of Management & Technology on the prescribed application form available at Doon Institute of Management & Technology. For more details contact “Ashish Rajpal Secretary (M)-9997220916.
 

All the boys / girls seeking admission in any of the mentioned courses are expected to follow the following rules and regulation (Subject to change by the college authorities)

Rules & Regulation of the Colleges

All students will sign the declaration that they have read the rules and will comply with the same in the Admission Form.
All students shall comply with college rules and regulation and also of Uttaranchal state University Act / ordinances as framed from time to time.
 It is mandatory that all the students to attend all the lectures and other extra curricular activities of the colleges, Students and parents should pay proper attention to complete the minimum attendance required to appear in the University examination.
Any student absents him / herself, without any valid reason for more than six days from the class, the name of such students will be struck off from the college rolls. However, he / she will be permitted to attend the classes by paying readmission charges as applicable from time to time.
It is the duty of students to attend all the important functions such as Independence Day / Republic Day / Founder’s Day or any other special occasion organized by the colleges.
The progress of the students will be communicated to their parents / guardians regularly. Students, whose progress and conduct is not considered satisfactory, will not allowed to appear in the University examinations.
All students will attend their Internal Exams conducted by the colleges. Parents/ guardians are requested to pay full attention and must meet Principal as and when called for, in the interest of their ward.
 It is mandatory for all students to attend the college in the uniform code given in the prospectus.
All students, while entering in the college, must carry their Identity Cards issued by the college.
 Any misconduct or misbehavior in the college/ Hostel campus shall be viewed seriously and liable to be penalized as per college rules and regulations. Pasting of any kind of notice or poster within college campus is not allowed without prior permission from the Principal and are also forbidden to the office of the Chairman if considered desirable.
The college does not hold itself responsible for any debts incurred by the students.
The students are advised to avail the library facility during their free period also.
If students lose or do any type of damage / damages to any library book/books, they must either arrange to replace it with a new one at their own cost within one week or pay double the price of the book.
Students will have to pay for all damages caused by them to the instruments, equipments, or any other college property.
Students are advised to maintain the decorum of the college in the real spirit.
Ragging in any form, is not allowed within and outside the college campus as per Supreme Court Ruling
Students are not allowed to use the College / Office Telephone for Private use.
Mobile phones are strictly banned in college campus.
Matters not covered by the above rules, will fall entirely within the absolute discretion of Management of the college.
All disputes will be settled in Dehradun Jurisdiction only.
   

Rules Applicable for Girls

Parents/Guardians are expected to produce a list of probable minimum visitors with their Name address, specimen signatures. If a parents/guardian not able to produce these details at the time of admission , must send soon after their ward’s admission, failing which no visitor will be allowed to meet the girls students staying in hostel.
Nobody else will be allowed to meet/take student out either from the college or frame hostel, without written permission from Director during & after college timing.
During holiday’s parent/guardian are expected to accompany or send authorization letters to the college, failing which she will not be allowed to leave college hostel under any circumstances.
The student is expected to reach the hostel within the stipulated time. She must sign the register kept for this purpose .The entries will be checked periodically by the competent authority.
Person, who bring letter from the parents / guardian or those from the authorized list, will only be permitted to meet / take her out for a prescribed time after submitting a written application duly approved by competent authority.
Girl students are allowed to go to the market for only two Sundays in a month (Outing time 10:00 am to 3:00 pm) for marketing and shopping.
Female relatives and friends will be allowed to visit the hostel students with Director’s permission but are not allowed to stay beyond 5:30 pm.
All hostel girls are expected to join the mess and abide by the rules and regulation.
No male relatives / friends or nay one else will be allowed to enter either in classrooms or in hostel except the visitors room for short meeting purpose without proper permission from competent authority.
 Even on working days if the students goes out with prior written sanction or permission, she is expected to come back on or before 5:30 p.m. to the hostel.
In case of emergency if the Parent / Guardian want the students to visit them, the message must reach college / Hostel through proper channel by fax / phone and permission will be duly obtained from the Director or competent authority.
Modern outfits like Jeans, T-shirts etc. which may distract the attention level of others, are strictly prohibited particularly even in casual dress day in the college premises. Sleeveless & short shirts are not allowed to be worn by the girls.

DRESS CODE

The prescribed dress code is to be followed strictly to ensure uniformity, oneness and equality.

Summer
Boys:-
Pant & shirt 2 piece, Track suit, Institute Tie,
Girls:- Salwar Kameez, Pant & shirt (optional), Track suit, Institute Tie.


Winter
Boys:- Blazer, Pant & shirt 2piece, Track suit, Institute Tie.
Girls:- Blazer, Pant & shirt (optional), Track suit, Institute Tie.

Note – Uniform will be supplied by the institute according to the each student’s measurement on payment.
